Alpha goes for the feels this Christmas with return to TV

For the second year running, CIB has been called upon to produce the signature winter brand awareness activity for Alpha Heating Innovation.

For the second year running, CIB has been called upon to produce the signature winter brand awareness activity for Alpha Heating Innovation. Far bigger in scope than last year’s offering, the ‘Feels Like Home’ campaign explores the moments that matter by showcasing the emotional and memorable times we all have at home.

This year’s campaign uses animated social media stings with content curated from staff and installers, beautiful images to tug at the heart strings and for customers who add their moments to the conversation, a competition to win a personalised gift that will make their next moment even more special.

The highlight of the campaign is a triumphant return to broadcast TV with a 90-second animated ad entitled ‘Doll’s House’ which premiered on Channel 5 in November and continues to air across the entire festive season.

Inspired by reports in the media of lockdown and pandemic pressures causing rifts in otherwise happy homes, Doll’s House tells the heart-warming story of a young girl whose parents are going through a rough patch. Struggling to make sense of the situation, her dream to have the family back together for Christmas seems dashed. Her parents must focus on the moments that truly matter if there is any chance of spending Christmas as a family.

The beautiful hand-animated art style and emotional story gave me the opportunity to write and produce the accompanying soundtrack (a first for CIB). The advert has been very well received and continues to drive brand awareness for Alpha. It’s been a pleasure adding our voice to the beloved tradition of British Christmas ads.

Keep an eye out for the Alpha Christmas advert across the Sky network throughout December!
