This whole ideal of ‘creating and curating valuable content’ – erm, haven’t PR professionals been doing this for years? Surely it’s just the tools – and the channels - at our disposal that have evolved?
Technical case studies and advisory articles that could once only be channelled through magazines can now be re-purposed for blogs, provide a basis for videos and pushed out through social media – and for what aim? Well to ‘establish and maintain goodwill and mutual understanding’ of course… the definition of public relations! I rest my case.
