FX Design Seminar for Forbo Flooring

A recent event arranged for our client Forbo Flooring Systems offered them (and me!) a really interesting insight into the challenges of designing for the private rental sector (PRS).

With investment in the UK’s PRS set to soar to £75 Billion by 2025 (and an additional 560,000 households expected to be in private rented accommodation by 2023) Forbo wanted to hear more from designers working in this area. We saw this as a good opportunity to table a roundtable discussion, to understand first-hand the implications and advantages to PRS. One of the most effective ways to speak to this audience, was to partner with FX magazine and host a Design Seminar.

The event was a great success, with nine architects from leading practices across London attending, along with representatives from Forbo and FX. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the guests put forward their views on PRS, understanding more about its history and what the social implications are now and in the future.

By hosting the seminar, it not only gave Forbo an insight into the PRS sector, but it provided an opportunity for its area managers to network with some key prospects.
