In 2014, one of our longest-standing PR clients is celebrating a landmark 50 years. Although we haven’t been handling the PR for Fernox for half a century, 13 years is still pretty good going. As such, we take enormous pride in consistently coming up with fresh new ideas that keep the chemical water treatment company firmly in the spotlight.

A 50th anniversary is an ideal time to remind customers and the wider marketplace of the company’s expertise, experience and on-going innovation. And as a well-loved brand – it’s also a great time to show Fernox’s personality and have a bit of fun.

Planning the PR strategy for this year began in early 2013 and the CIB PR team developed a proposal that would ensure maximum press coverage throughout 2014 in Fernox’s core plumbing and heating press as well as merchant and public sector titles.

Press releases, company profiles, case studies, competitions, bi-monthly columns, animations, videos and a variety of individual social media campaigns are all playing an integral role in this year’s PR strategy. And what better way to kick-off proceedings than a celebratory press event in January that saw 26 editors from the trade UK press attending.

So keep your eyes peeled on the trade press this year – because if we’re doing our job properly – you’ll be seeing a lot of Fernox.
