My first case study filming day checked off the list
Four months into my journey at CIB and I feel like I have learnt so much, developing my skillset and my confidence. I know that case study videos are a key part of our remit in PR and I was delighted to attend my first filming day on behalf of our client EGGER.
The project was the live Dandara housebuilding site (Buckmore Green) near Portsmouth. We were greeted by gorgeous show homes and led to the fast-paced, busy work site. This is where we got to see the foundations of these amazing houses and EGGER’s Protect and Peel Clean Xtra structural flooring boards in action.
Our team and EGGER had worked on a detailed brief for the day, and we started capturing content straight away, from one-on-one interviews and install shots to b-roll and drone footage. Shadowing my manager and assisting on my first shoot taught me many lessons, from how to navigate timings and weather conditions, how to make people feel at ease during interviews on camera and how to best convey the client’s key messages.
Having the opportunity to learn first-hand on a live construction site was an invaluable experience and has already been beneficial for my journey here at CIB. I look forward to getting stuck in with more case study filming!
