We were delighted to be awarded 'Best Digital Campaign' at last week's CMA Awards for our multichannel campaign for voestalpine Metsec. This, combined with a lifetime achievement award for our founder and long serving MD Andy Cassie, made for a great evening all round.
The campaign focused on the development of a central piece of content - a video case study based on a Skanska project, which acted as a great example of the practical application of BIM. The video was sold into selected construction and architectural publications along with an extended written case study to expand upon the video content and was also disseminated through social media and online advertisements - resulting in 2,000 video views in the first fortnight.
The judges commented ''Excellent use of video, social media and digital to put the focus clearly on Metsec"

It was a lovely touch for CIMCIG to also recognise Andy's outstanding contribution to construction marketing in the form of a Lifetime Achievement Award (only the third presented in their fifteen year history). CIMCIG Chair Ian Exall describing him as being "very vocal about the way construction marketing has worked and evolved over the years" with a competitor commenting on his "high standards and integrity".
A lot has certainly changed since 1985 - the year CIB started (Andy's dress sense notwithstanding!)
