What makes a good agency pitch process?
Over the years we’ve been involved in hundreds of pitches and I’m happy to say we have a fairly good record…winning about one in two on average. Before we agree to a pitch, there’s a number of questions we ask ourselves to establish whether a client or opportunity is right for us. It’s always important to remind yourself as an agency that a pitch is a two-way process.

My experience of FIREX International 2019
I recently made the journey down to London for the 2019 FIREX International exhibition. Held at the London ExCel, FIREX International is Europe’s only dedicated fire-safety event, with over 130 exhibitors and an estimated 18,000 people expected to have attended over the three days. As well as supporting our clients, Isover and Quelfire, who were exhibiting at the show, and hosting a series of editor visits to their stands, a key attraction of FIREX for me was the wide array of industry-led seminars available.

Are you mixing it up enough?
CIB has consistently invested in its digital offer and we’ve certainly delivered some fantastic (and award winning) campaigns – from Channel Graham and STN to RIW, Metsec and DoorStop. Yet, one of my biggest bugbears is marketeers who’ve decided to ‘go digital’.
