Tekla Awards and rewarding content

As a construction marketing agency, we always place emphasis on making your content work hard and maximising its reach. A great example of this approach in action is the recent UK Tekla Awards.

Held annually by our client Trimble, its Tekla Building Information Modelling (BIM) software customers submit their complex and innovative projects for judging. The winners are then celebrated at the Tekla Awards Day, which, rather than a typical awards evening, involves a day out to Yorkshire’s Bowcliffe Hall for garden games, networking and lunch.

With a mixture of Tekla customers (from a range of construction, fabrication and engineering backgrounds) and the team at Tekla attending, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to film some new, engaging social media and marketing content. As well as being a fun day out of the office in a beautiful location, we were able to speak to attendees on camera about the award-winning projects, the value Tekla software delivers and the role of BIM with the modern-day construction industry.

Thanks to our experience in video production, the one day on site has resulted in a great amount of high-quality, insightful content, including two full length videos, one of which documents the Tekla Awards Day, and a series of nine short and snappy ‘voxpop’ style videos, featuring interviews with both customers and Tekla personnel. These videos will be posted on Tekla’s social media channels and used in other marketing material, some as evergreen content and others to help promote future years’ UK Tekla Awards.

I’m so proud of the results, demonstrating how much video content you can get out of a single day. Awards aren’t just for one evening; they can be transformed into year-long content with the right experience and industry know-how.
